Most often than not, things that occur, do so because someone or something, directly or indirectly, made it happen.
The dictionary provides the meaning of the word chance, which it states as a possibility of something happening. It is interesting because anything can happen, but what determines what happens? If you do not do anything, then people that do will determine what happens.
What is the possibility of you waking up to see a million pounds in front of your door? It depends on something or someone to make it happen. Will something or someone do that for you? I wonder. It could be deliberate or by error. Is it possible? Yes, but will it happen? I wonder what you think. Will it happen to you? I will let you fill in your answer. Do you think it will happen tomorrow? The reason is simple—you are waiting for someone else or something else to create for you what you desire. If you do, you have accepted a life of uncertainties where what is possible may never become a reality to you.
Waiting for such things to happen could be a waste of time. It could happen if someone misplaces their money or a visitor of yours left their treasures behind, or the armoured van driver delivered cash to the wrong address. Can you see that even with those possible ways of getting the money, it is still unlikely? That is what it means when you expect something by doing nothing.
There are so many things that can happen, but you can make things happen also. The difference is that when you make things happen, you can determine your output because you would have a better idea of what your result would be and have greater certainty.
We all have different opportunities every day, but what we do with them determines the outcome. If we wait, something will happen, but it would be what someone else has made to happen.
We all have access to soil, air, and rain, but the farmer does something extra. He plants a seed of tomato in the ground and walks away. In a few months, he would be harvesting tomato fruits. It was possible to have tomato fruits, but for the farmer to be sure that he would have the fruits in the future, he had to plant the seed.
We all can learn new things, but a cook does something extra. She trains to cook, and after a while, she cooks for her family and on special occasions. It was possible, but she made it possible by taking the right step.
We all have some money pass through our hands at one time or another, but an investor does something extra. He invests some of the money while others spend it all. He would be rejoicing because of the increases in his investment in the future. He could be that man that the postman would pass a letter through the post box to inform him that his investments of thirty years ago are now worth millions. He did not wait for it to happen; he made it to happen.
We all have the ability to train and develop our skills, but a doctor does something extra. He undergoes training to specialise and then begins to help people with health issues. It was possible, but would it have been possible if he did not take the step to undergo training? I wonder what you think.
Many things are possible, but we never see them become a reality because we never take the step required to make them a reality. If you wait for some things, you may not see them happen. You have a better chance of making them happen.
