Law-abiding I
Laws abound all around us today, and new ones get introduced in different fields of human endeavour, organisations, communities, nations, continents, and the world.
Why are they introduced? As you may have guessed, the aim is to help maintain order, establish standards, resolve disputes or protect an individual’s rights, among other things.
Some people obey the laws, while others refuse to, leading to consequences that may inconvenience them a little or significantly. The people that abide by the rules—the law-abiding individuals, are sometimes called the good people.
“When you trust the source of the law as reputable, keeping them could be very beneficial.”
People decide to follow the rules because they know they are beneficial. For example, some laws in the construction industry convey the standard for a safe, quality structure. It ensures that the buildings are safe and represent, at the very least, the minimum acceptable quality in the industry.
The bricks used for a structure must meet some requirements depending on the structure’s purpose. It cannot just be any brick; otherwise, it may collapse, constituting a risk to life.
Some people adhere to the rules and enjoy the benefits, while others may break the rules and get the consequences of disobedience. It could be a painful experience, but some have learned wisdom by so doing, but some never had a second chance because the price or consequence of their decision was significant. A few also learn from the experiences of others which helps to prevent such errors in the first place.
“If you can see signs of chaos, disorder, and unpleasant experiences, it may point to a disregard or ignorance of the rules proven to bring peace of mind and order.”
There are different types of laws, of course. Some may have bad intentions, bias, or unfair advantages or disadvantages towards some people, but when you trust the source of the law as reputable, keeping them could be very beneficial.
Are you law-abiding, or have you chosen to break the laws deliberately?
Some people have failed because they broke the rules and are struggling to recover. Some other people enjoy the benefits of obedience; they have peace, rest, and order, helping them quickly progress.
If you can see signs of chaos, disorder, and unpleasant experiences, it may point to a disregard or ignorance of the rules proven to bring peace of mind and order.
It is advisable to stop and think to ensure that you are on the right track to make progress instead of going ten steps forward only to slide backwards by fifty. You can decide which way to go. I hope you will start a new journey to a brighter future. Turning is still possible; if you do not, you only go farther away from peace of mind. You can make the change today.
