Original
Are you building your life as an original or imitation of someone else?
A building or structure relies on the strength of its materials, original or counterfeit; it will soon reflect and expose the characteristics of the building materials.
The quality of the material will determine how long it will last. Therefore, you can ascertain the safety of any building by the quality of the material used for its core.
If you desire to build a structure that will last, which materials would you use? Is it the original, counterfeit, or an imitation of the materials? Naturally, your choice will be the best quality original materials.
“Many people that choose to live a fake life spend so much to maintain such statuses, it is not free, but the cost is not worth the result.”
The same is true in life; we can choose the building block that forms our structure because they determine the health and quality of our lives.
You must have heard of some buildings that have collapsed because of substandard materials. Some did not make it to completion, and those that completed—well decorated and furnished, collapsed not too long after—killing people trapped in them and wasting all invested resources. They may look beautiful, but they were only disasters waiting to happen.
It is wise to invest in quality materials for your structure because it will pay off in the long run. But, interestingly, counterfeit materials are not always without a price; they cost something too, probably less initially but eventually will cost you more in the end. It is sad to know, but some people have sometimes paid the ultimate price.
Many people that choose to live a fake life spend so much to maintain such statuses, it is not free, but the cost is not worth the result. Instead, you can choose to invest in the original you and make the most of your potential.
“Wise men are willing to pay the price for a quality brick to build because it is critical to the future of the building.”
Wise men are willing to pay the price for a quality brick to build because it is critical to the future of the building. Counterfeit materials will not do the same job, leading to waste, loss, rejection, frustration, and pain.
It would help if you refused to bow to the pressure to become a copy or counterfeit; you are an original and can live to retain your originality. It is not good enough, even if it looks like the material. If it is not, it is not the same.
It is better to wait and pay the price for quality materials than to hurry and waste your resources on a counterfeit. You may have quick results to show with fake things, but they will soon disappear with time. The sad thing is that it will eventually cost more and more pain.
You can invest in yourself to bring the best out of the unique you. Your generation needs you the way you are. You only need to refine yourself to serve your world. Choose to be an original—not like anyone else.
